On a serious note - I'll be glad to be able to pick up a paper this summer and not have to skip the usual 10-12 pages of patriotic bollocks in the days before each England game (not to mention the centrefold pull out flags etc.).

i'm a scouser so maybe not a real englishman, but when we were 2-2 tonight i turned to the ife and said that part of me wanted Croatia to score again. This is why.

It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'
OMG patriotism in an international tournament....whatever next?
patriotism=OK

I don't hate England. Never have, never will. (I live there now FFS, well, Liverpool )
In major tournaments I just watch the games because, at the end of it all, I'm a FOOTBALL fan. I don't get swept up in all the England bollocks, just as I wouldn't expect an Englishman to have to do if (and its a big if) Wales ever get to a tournament.
I enjoy tournaments, I end up putting a few bets on and watch most of the games. I remember doing a jig of delight in my living room when South Korea scored a late winner against Togo in the last World Cup because it won me £33.
In my eyes you don't have to support one of the teams in the tournament to enjoy it.
fancy starting a thread having a dig at the Welsh when you've just been knocked out yourself!!
**** OFF AND SUPPORT STOKE CITY OR SOMETHING AND STOP EMBARRASSING THE GOOD NAME OF LFC

i always thought it was very enlightening when England played at Anfield.
1. Nobody near me on the Kop went
2. The Kop cheering Beckham? Yeah right - a year after leading the chants about Posh taking it up the arse??
3. Not sure what happened to the 'England Bandwagon' but it stayed away from us after that - hopefully that's something we can shake Rick's hand for!
