Unfortunately I think he'd be too much of a challenge for the FA, who will look for their usual Lancaster Gate yes man who wears dull suits.
Agree Jose has got to be appointedIn Rafa I Trust

To be fair to the manager though I think its also very hard to manage millionaires. For example the India cricket team are all wealthy however they have a fear of a backlash from their fans if they dare not try.
Its all too easy for these England footballers to lose a match, then drive home in their Porsche to their Mansion.
In all of our job roles at work we probably earn an average of £20000 and if we under perform (get sacked) it can effect our lifestyle, mortgage etc. However with all these footballers they are already set for life so you have to question motivation aswell.
There is no fear factor thereLast edited by magicalbarnes; 22-11-07, 10:56 AM.

I was saying this last night while watching the game and discussing who should replace Mclaren.
He's also used to dealing with a lot of big name players, leaving some out and keeping the ego's in check, well making sure his is the overriding ego at least.

I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello would welcome the opportunity to take charge of England and admits it would be a 'beautiful test'.
England are on the lookout for a new boss after the Football Association sacked Steve McClaren on Thursday morning.
McClaren paid the price for England's dismal failure to qualify for Euro 2008 and a shortlist of possible replacements is being touted with Jose Mourinho and Martin O'Neill among the reported contenders.
And Capello - who was dismissed by Real despite leading them to the Primera Liga title last season - has revealed he would be interested in succeeding McClaren.
"Me to coach England? It would be a challenge, a beautiful test to overcome and I would have the right age," Capello said on TV channel Rai.
Capello, 61, has also had successful spells with Milan, Juventus and Roma - while he was linked with the manager's job at Tottenham before Juande Ramos was appointed.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

that would be a good appointment for both england and him...
hope he gets the job, i don't see maurinho waist 2-4 years of his club career on national teams..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."
