Woy Hodgson can't pwonounce his Rs, so that wules him out.

Shearer is as thick as pig ****. He “done fantastic” as a player, but what “he done as a player” should be irrelevant. Too thick, too uninspiring.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

      Just been on SSN

Allardyce has ruled himself out of the running for the England job

      1. Thank F*ck for that

2 Arrogant ****............. if he wasnt good enough last time what makes the useless prick think he would get it this time
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

He's never won anything, I don't know why people think he's a great manager, great managers are winners.
Didn't Maclaren win the Carling Cup/Worthington Cup/League Cup?

With the top 4 being so strong it is unlikely that a team outside this monopoly will win anything of importance.
          We come not to play.

They cant employee O'Neill either cause he went for the interview the last time and has said it himself that "if I wasnt good enough for them the first time then what do I know"
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

Yes he did, and he reached a UEFA cup final. But I was arguing against 'arry Redknapp (old saggy chops)

Then there are the career International Managers - the FA would never pick one BUT

Leo Beenhakker (someone of that ilk) has taken Poland into the Euro08 championships...

If we stick to English then we're fecked

True, but it wasn't a bad achievement with a small club like Boro.

                    Anyway, next on the list.

If people are going to insist on an Englisman then I think we'd do a lot worse than go for Glenn Hoddle again.
He did a fine job last time and was sacked because of some stupid comment about retards.
In terms of managing the team, I thought he was very good and he will improve our technical ability.

Having said all that, an Englishman would be WAY WAY down my list.

His single greatest skill, IMO, is in the transfer market. He identifies the right sort of player time and time again, and is an expert in the mid-lower end of the market. A classic wheeler-dealer. Obviously that doesn’t come to it in international football and you wonder how effective he’d be working only with the tools available to him.
It could also be argued that he finds the best system to fit the players available to him. I agree he is a great wheeler dealer but aren't all the top managers? In my mind a national team manager has to command the respect of the players and be able to motivate them they are his 2 main jobs. Yes he needs to be tactically astue but he only gets these players for 3 or 3 days before England play so he can't coach them something they already should know. Players love playing for auld 'Arry' and if we want an English manager then he's the pick of the bunch.

Come off it mate he's hardly been at the big clubs.

You can't tell me what he has built at pompey isn't the sign of a good manager?

Harry has been round the block, he knows what he's doing.

                      They wont ask him though.

Is that the uefa cup final where boro got played off the pitch in every round leading up to it but kept bringing that baldy italian kid on and he kept pulling them out the **** in the last 10 minutes?

I think Shearer would be Ok, inspirational and all that, if he gets some experienced coaches alongside he'd do no worse the Maclaren.

                              Meh, what do I care?

Just pointing out that McLaren has achieved more than Redknapp in a shorter time period and I think Redknapp would be a major step backwards.

If your argument against Redknapp is that he's never won anything well what has Hoddle won?

He was **** at Spurs and Wolves.

He'd be last on my list.

                                Klinnsman anyone?
