    Anyway, next on the list.

If people are going to insist on an Englisman then I think we'd do a lot worse than go for Glenn Hoddle again.
He did a fine job last time and was sacked because of some stupid comment about retards.
In terms of managing the team, I thought he was very good and he will improve our technical ability.

Having said all that, an Englishman would be WAY WAY down my list.
    Glenn Hoodle?

He won the league cup for Spurs

And he has a proven track record at international management. Whatever you say, he did a good job last time.

Just realised, I was in Croatia at the time of the UEFA Cup Final.

Hoddle would be a crazy appointment, but in his and Chilli’s defence, it’s often overlooked how good a job Hoddle did. Yeah okay, it ended in France with the usual premature heartbreak, but he got England playing good football and his tactics more often than not worked.

But to re-appoint the air-guitar playing lunatic now would insanity.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

How do you work that one out?

We got knocked out at the 2nd round of the world cup and we weren't in the best of positions when he got sacked.

He was awful and the players hated him. He would be a massive step backwards.

I have come to the conclusion that croatian rent boys are cheaper than english ones, Steve McLaren is **** at football management and England are **** at football

I was only saying he'd be my choice if we had to go for an Englishman.

I also pointed out an Englishman would be WAY WAY down my list.

Hoddle has managed at Southampton, Spurs and Wolves since England - hardly a success?

If we're ignoring all semblance of time then why not appoint Venebles as Manager - he was excellent in Euro 96 - Semi's beats Second round in my book.

To be fair if take the Holland game out of the tournament England were pretty gash.

However that Holland game was the best I have ever seen England play so I would have him ahead of Hoddle.

There should really only be three options.

                        Lippi, Capello and Mourinho.

All three are winners and available. All three of them can get results from year one.

They should snap Capello up before he changes his mind.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well we qualified for that world cup which was no mean feat considering the group we were in.
We played good football and had good tactics under Hoddle, only someone ignorant of the facts would dispute that.
We lost on pens with 10 men after having a perfectly good extra time goal ruled out to a team which was recognised as one of the most talented at the time.
I don't care if the players 9 years ago hated him, he was a good manager, which is the criteria I look for in a manager.

Hoddle and El Tel are yesterdays news, never go back and all that.

They need someone with the balls to shake things up.
                                We come not to play.
