The best I have ever heard.

Alan Green is the Paul Tomkins of radio commentary...he should never be allowed to work on Liverpool games.
            Francis.

...."Any team that concedes as few goals as we concede is going to be tough to play against..." - Fernando Torres on Liverpool

And when I say 'play Gerrard on the left', I mean on the left

            A defensive mid for £18m?

Without a shadow of a doubt ... Alan Green. I like Jimmy Armfield too but he's not in the list.

Really, I think he is crap. Maybe he would be good on TV but for radio he doesn't describe the action enough and pontificates too much while not seeming any more knowledgeable than a normal fan.

Other than that I think 5Live has an exceptional line up of commentators, although some of their summarisers annoy me at times.
