He certainly isnt worth the money being asked for him, but not because of his ability. Purely because of his injury record. I agree woth the comments that he needs to be nurtured back to full fitness and would significantly benefit from being in a squad that is the subject of regular rotation.

Sign him on a 6 month loan period with a chance to buy him for 8 million. Then do what happened with cisse as they got him for 6 million.I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

£5m at the most. We'd be doing the Toon a favour by taking him and his ridiculous wages.
He would be a perfect understudy for Nando, no question, and I reckon he'd accept the role. Time's running out for him to play at a top club again and "win things".I hate Polanski

But he was fit when he played in Spain right? Maybe the cold weather just doesn't suit the lad. Italy, Spain or the MLSOriginally posted by fowlen View PostI still think a fit and strong Owen will score for any team....the problem is will he be fit and strong for more that 2 weeks in a year?
Given time I think he'll be as ruthless as he ever was, but there is no way in hell that he'll play for us again

That's silly. He really isn't. He was certainly a better goalscorer. With his injuries though even that is, in practical terms, in doubt.Originally posted by thesilverfoxlfc View PostWhy not???

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
