Torres probably didn't stretch his legs as fast as we know he could. He mentally thought he could beat him because he looks like a porker and underestimated him.

As I said, I honestly think Torres carried a knock or two throughout the game yesterday. He never looked at full-tilt and he was moving very gingerly off the ball.

You'd be hard pressed to hear a decent counter argument to that. He's been city's player of the year for the last three seasons. Some early discipline problems have been forgotten as he's got older and will continue to get better. I like the McGrath comparison ... very similar indeed.

No offence to city, but he deserves to play for a top team. I've no idea of his ambition or contract status though.

He's in a new Aussie show now i think it was on RTE 2 some months ago but isnt on anymore....could very well be the makers of H & A that do that show
