'Fake wingers' - what are they?

I'd never heard of this so-called position before until the othe rday when someone on here (Zapater?) talked about a fake winger.

I got a BOOk for Christm,as about Brazilian football. I was reading it today and came to a bit about Rivelino, who is described as a false winger, without explaining what the heck a false winger is.

What is a false winger and what is the purpose of a false winger?

    Yossi is a 'fake' winger.

I suppose a 'false' winger would be a player like Babel....

It's a bit of plastic or, more often, cardboard, stuck on the side of a bird.

logical guess would be yes someone like yossi, who is technically out on the right wing, making him a winger...but goes inward a lot as opposed to hugging the touch line and crossing in balls
