Spurs, United and Liverpool ready to battle for Barca starlet
Last updated at 20:30pm on 4th January 2008

Tottenham and Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race for Barcelona wonderkid Giovani dos Santos.

All three have 'made firm, substantial offers' for the 18-year-old Mexican, with Spurs hoping to steal a march by capitalising on Juande Ramos' contacts at Barcelona.

Attacking midfielder Giovani, who has a £20million release clause but would initially cost around £10m, has been eager to stay at the Camp Nou but realises his opportunities are restricted.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Sell Crouch and sign Dos Santos. Would be a very good option to play behind Torres.

Well, it's either us or Chelsea that's wrong. Who knows which one?

G&H could always loan them just like they paid for all our other players
