City to bid £16million for Mancini

Sven-Goran Eriksson has made a £16 million bid for Roma winger Amantino Mancini, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror reports that the Manchester City boss will also offer striker Rolando Bianchi as part of the deal to lure the former Liverpool target to Eastlands.

Roma rejected interest from the Reds for the Brazilian international last season.

Eriksson has money to spend and it is believed that the 27-year-old could be one of his first purchases.

He'd be a good signing for them.

    Quality player.

I'd still love us to go in for him if we had the money.
A humble guy with healthy desire.

Agreed but they will overtake us if we keep fecking it up against the 'smaller' teams and they don't.

Only need couple of signings like this one and they will be on a par with us plus they have a few players who are developing nicely, like Johnson, Richards, Ireland, Onouha and some other youngsters. With Elano, Petrov, Bojinov soon back, the likes of Mancini and a decent striker they will be looking good.

Oh, and the table doesn't lie does it?

Sorry about the pessimism though! I think Rafa will get us there eventually but it will be harder and harder.

Sven know how to build a team and he is getting backed by Shinawatra all the way. City are at the top to stay.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

They'll have some attacking unit if they can get a decent striker to stick the ball away.

Petrov on the left, Mancini potentially on the right, Elano and/or Castillo through the middle...

The makings of a very strong team.

Shinawatra would be very bad IMO.
Look at the way he got his money, his wife just got arrested for corruption.
G&H might not have been what we dreamed of, but at least they `ve made their money legally.
There is some money I just won`t take.

he made his first few million legally in the Thai telecoms industry, its only when he became Prime Minister that there was a whiff of corruption...... and that sadly is a way of life in that part of the world.

If yo delve into G & H's backgrounds I am sure neither of them would come out squeeky clean
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"
