He is a cock and I have no sympathy for him whatsoever. I am somewhat concerned though that the media having got rid of one of their pet targets will redouble their attention on Rafa.

Goodbye then Fat Sam
May you ever grow in our hearts
You were the lump of lard that placed itself
Where lives were torn apart
You called out to our country
And you shouted Pro Zone stats to those in pain
Now you belong to no one
And the stars spell out your name
And it seems to me you managed Newcastle
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned out long before
Your legend ever will
Lardliness we've lost
These empty days without your scowl
This torch we'll always carry
For our nation's fattest man
And even though we try
The truth brings us to tears
All our words cannot express
The guff you brought us through the years
And it seems to me you managed Newcastle
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in
And your footsteps will always fall here
Along England's greenest hills
Your candle's burned our long before
Your legend ever will
Goodbye then Fat Sam
May you ever grow fatter and fatter
You were the lump of lard that placed itself
Where Geordies were overexpectant
Goodbye then Fat Sam
From a country lost without your whinging rants
Who'll miss the cash of your brown bags
More than you'll ever know
And it seems to me you managed Newcastle
Like a candle in the wind
Never fading with the sunset
When the rain set in

I remember reading that too. He could do a good job and his preference for attacking football would go down well with the fans. I think it was a huge error getting rid of Alladyce though. Sometimes you just have to be patient - I suppose though if both fans and owners want a different style of play then you will always face an uphill battle.Originally posted by Marsh View Postwasnt Jol menationed a week ago re newcaslte?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

It wasn't Mike Ashley's appointment so maybe he wants someone like Shearer after sitting with the fans for so long.Originally posted by dww View PostI remember reading that too.
