I used to live down there right next to Highbury. Finsbury Park is one of the local tube stations. A lot of fans use it.

      What a waste that was!
Let me just clarify, i'm not championing the idea of signing defoe. He IS better than Kuyt, but then so is my nan (she's also dead).

But every striker misses sitters from time to time, to be fair. And he HAS had a decent run recently.

That wasn't a sitter. Had Lennon passed it earlier, Defoe would have had a better chance of scoring but he had a goalie in front of him and the defender coming from behind.

Should've definitely hit the target though, surely?

Looked fairly straightforward to me, granted if the keeper pulls off a worldie, then you cant help it, but he ballooned it over.

The player coming from behind maybe distracted him.

Doesn't help when you a substitute.

There are circumstances which make it harder, for sure. But when push comes to shove, you'd expect a half decent striker to hit the target from there.

              Well i would.

Lovely through ball from Eduardo for Arsenal's goal.

When he fancies it Berbatov is a very special footballer.

                Arsenal will still go through.

I agree should be hitting the target but difficult chance. Watch the replay again, if you get the chance. Lennon looks up the first time to see whether there is an option, thats when the pass should have been made. Credit to Fabianski, made himself look big, didn't give him a chance.

                    Granted all strikers miss chances.
But Defoe seems to be a bit hit and hope, not clinical.

And if that wasn't a sitter, well I got no time for the excuses that are being drawn up.

Another Rolls Royce of a performance from Berbatov last night. **** he’s good – when he can be bothered. He drops off much better than I’d realised – some of his passing last night was exquisite. We really missed a trick paying £10m for Kuyt while Spurs got Berba for the same.

                      A Torres-Berbatov partnership would be

Berbatov is the exact same type of player as Bergkamp was. Will never score ton of goals but will always create very much for the other players.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Arsenal play excellent football when the players are fresh and can make all the off the ball movements they need to do for it to be effective.

If they are not fresh then it will be a lot of sideway football instead of attacking football. That was what happened yesterday.

Was a very entertaining game, Spurs are starting to look, at least to me, like Sevilla under Ramos and I think with 2-3 decent players they'll really come on. Keeping Berbatov is a must though, he was a different class last night but you can see why Rafa would never seriously be in for him as he just stands around a lot before springing into life.
