    i see he is now saying that Newcastle dont want him due to his lack of experience.

    He realises that he can do what he wants and his adoring public will lap it all up.

    there was some bloke on the news going on about how good shearer would be
    totally deluded if you ask me.

    he also said that the move from captian to manager was only a small one.

            I have no idea what size a jump there is between captain and manager but you would think it would be best to reserve judgement until after you had tried both wouldn't you? The evidence hardly looks in his favour given the no. of good players who have been crap managers.

            I can't get over how players feel that they should just walk into top flight managerial jobs when they want to. Go get some experience doing the job FFS. If someone like Shearer went to a conference team at least in the short term the crowds would increase and it would be doing both parties a favour.
