    Aussie A-League

    Anyone follow it?

I tried to get into it when I was there but never managed to get attached to any team in particular.

Went to see Sydney v Urawa Red Diamonds in the ACL and it was quite entertaining although the standard wasn't great by either side. Think it ended 2-2.

I heard they signed Michael Bridges? Quality bit of business if he stays injury free, reckon he'd tear most A-League defences apart.

From what I've seen Mrs Bridges could tear most A-league defences apart.

For those of you too young to remember Upstairs Downstairs (i.e. almost everyone), she's the second on the left.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

        I admit it was laboured.

Yeah i follow it a bit.

Sydney signed Bridges and Juninho (who is still quality) which has changed their season around.

I follow Adelaide We have a couple of really promising players, namely Nathan Burns and Bruce Djite. They will both be in Europe withing the year. Im sure you saw Burns when you were here. He's quick, and loves to run with the ball. If only his finishing was better, he could be a star.

Queensland have a couple of very very talented teens. Zullo and Cruz, both are outstanding for their age.

Rafa should really be looking at Burns and the queensland boys. They would be as good a chance of any to fix our wing problems

I'm guessing the A-League is a bit like our MLS here in the US. It is really painful to watch.

sort of. Though soem teams try play really attacking flowing football, and you can get nice games.

I think pitches tend to be very dry in Australia, which is not helping a flowing type of football, unless the pitch is heavily watered.
