Cameroon were poor against Ghana and if it wasn't for Agogo's poor finishing, Ghana would have been in the final. Good goal from Nkong though.

To be fair to Cameroon, the pitch didnt allow for good football. Egypt is tactically better though and will take some beatingOriginally posted by Ben Tover View PostCameroon were poor against Ghana and if it wasn't for Agogo's poor finishing, Ghana would have been in the final. I'm afraid I've lost interest in this tournament. I find it hard to watch football being played in front of masses of empty seats.
Anyway....WTF happened to the Ivorians???
And who are these great Egyptian players? Any gems? They must have a few very good players? Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Egypt are a genuinely good 'team' - they have so many good player swho play their system very well. Neat and compact passing football - not afraid to throw numbers forward when they attack either. Technically superb.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI'm afraid I've lost interest in this tournament. I find it hard to watch football being played in front of masses of empty seats.

The player that stood out for me was Zaki. The keeper looked pretty useful also."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

The downside was evident last night though with some absolutely pathetic play acting by at least 3 of the Egyptians. Maybe he's just overprotective of his mentor Rigobert. Saw him mimicking Rigoberts instructions in the first half. Really bizarre he stood there next to him copying all Songs hand gestures and instructions
Now he decided to attack a paramedic

saw the incident in the pub on ssn last - don't know how true it is, but one of my mates was saying that apparently, as it is being played in ghana, the ghanain stewards etc aren't very helpful to opposing players. He said something about how in an earlier match against ghana someone was injured and when they drove on in the little buggy they "accidently" bumped into to a few of the opposing players. He reckoned bike was trying to stop them 'interfering' with rigobert.
as i said don't if its true but ****ing funny if it isi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Yes, I was going to mention that. It was pathetic and such obvious spoiling tactics - still, Ivory Coast (and in particular Drogba) were not much better.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostThe downside was evident last night though with some absolutely pathetic play acting by at least 3 of the Egyptians. I agree, some of the play acting was disgraceful. But when you play c**ts like Drogba who for the first 20 minutes was throwing himself to teh ground at every opportunity, you've got to play fire with fire. Cheating breeds cheating especially when the ref lets the players get away with it.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostThe downside was evident last night though with some absolutely pathetic play acting by at least 3 of the Egyptians. Cameroon did the same every time they got a chance after they scored their goal. The ref should have added around 15 minutes in the second half.
The ref was so bad that he even allowed Eto'o to sit down for a minute to take a rest.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
