He's been very good this season. One of the most improved players in the PL in my opinion.

Well, he is certainly not rubbish! He has been at Man United for 12 years and played in 185 games!

      12 years = 185 games

How old was Wes Brown 12 years ago? He can't have been playing first team more than 8 years?

He was ****e today. Is Richard still recovering from injury because surely he must be in the team ahead of the orange one?

Thought he was ****e, but then he's a centre back playing a right back.

Never rated him, but I've always had it in for him since I had a blazing row in a bookies one day with some random Manc gob****e who said he was better than Hyypia and potentially the best centre-half in the world. This was about 2000/2001 ish...when Sami, alongside Desailly, was the best CB in the league.

Well I know but he's still only deputising for that ****** with the wispy tache.

He’s built like a centre-back and IMO isn’t really suited to marauding down the right flank.

Campbell and Stam were better at that time than the pair. Though at that stage Desailly was bottom out of the 4.

Debateable, and besides, Stam left in 2001.

It is a good example for me to counter the idea most people have that if you aren't good enough at 21 you will never make it. This season is the first he has ever looked like a first team Man United player.

As Shaggy says he is not an ideal right back and is built like a CB but defensively that is an asset (particularly in the air) and he is athletic enough to run up and down the line to give a decent option. I've also been impressed with his crossing from deep this season - although maybe that is a case of selective memory.
