he has 70 in 170 for man utd, hardly a **** stat considering his role in the team, cracking player. we can only hope that one of nemeth, pacecho, eccelstone, pourie or dalle valle will come close to him.

Good player, but hysterically overrated by the media..
A lot of his qualities are admirable (effort, drive etc), as much as many of them are derided (petulance, cheating etc).........but in a free-scoring team like Utd's, he doesn't score enough goals and in the end that's what a striker is judged on..
In a lesser team he may score more being the main focus of play, but that doesn't exactly ring true when he's playing for England now does it ?
His goal scoring record is actually quite average for a top-tier striker and no more than that..
Utd do miss him when he doesn't play though, as he certainly makes them look more dangerous, but Ronaldo is obviously more important to them..

I thought he played pretty well last night, but was also pretty wasteful. The over reaction of the BBC, saying he should have been MOM does show the hype.

I know he plays for the filth but you wished he played for us. His all round game is superb, he links up well with Stevie too. I was really impressed with him tonight, excellent performance.

I think he's overhyped myself - if he was any other nationality he wouldn't get a fifth of the publicity he gets
