    Potentially Diarra seems to have more to his attacking game than Mascher but in his few appearances for Chelsea and Arsenal he showed little sign of being able to break play up as effectively as Mascher or to move the ball into the attacking players as well as Flamini does for Arsenal. He is a very good player but has a lot to learn before he becomes good enough for a top team and the comparison to Mascher does a disservice to his good qualities but he is nowhere near that class (at least not yet I suppose).

      Yes yes, he's probably wrong but I'm willing to bet most of you that have commented in this thread have hardly seen anything of Diarra. I havn't so you definitely havn't.

        There not really the same type of player. Diarra is more of a conventional midfielder and attacks well while mascher is about screening the back 4...busting cnuts like lampard and giving the ball off!

          I agree. It'd be more fair to compare him to players like Makalele, Hamann, Hargreaves etc...

          Still, Nicholas is a :whatever:
