I think give him a couple of years and he'll be in the top3 players in the world.

I wonder how our 'kids' would fair in the Premiership, Milan and Barca seem to not care about age, they have the attitude of if they are good enough they are old enough, Our youngsters don't seem to get the chances.
      We come not to play.

defo, some very good youngsters coming though-Pato, Krici, Dos Santos, Benzema and Ben Arfa.
Cant see Pato/Kricic/Dos Santos leaving their clubs, but Benzema and Ben arfa-maybe could be prized from Lyon?

Agreed, but even our continental kids arent being given much of a go. I really liked the look of El Zahr but he just doesnt look like he can cut it here. Dont know if it just us and the training or the English league-but having said that the arsenal kids seem to take to the league very well.

I'd like to see some get their chance, at the risk of sounding like AFII Insua has been very solid in the reserves, Nemeth can't stop scoring surely they are worth a punt they can be no worse then Kuyt or Riise for example.

yup they do need to be given a chance otherwise they will just rot away in ressies and fade into a lower division team.
I really would have liked to have not bought Skertel and given young Hobbs a good run, surely he would have been ok for the matches we've had since Skertel came in?

To be fair kids like Dos Santos and Krkic have been in the Barca setup for a while. It is much easier to integrate a kid once they have been bought up knowing the teams style of play and have a good grasp of the language.

I think that one or two of the players should have been given more of a chance in things such as the league cup.

I think a youth development program has to be given time. I think people fail to see that we don't have that many experienced heads in our team - certainly not in attacking areas. Our first choice team would include young players like Agger and possibly Babel whilst players like Torres, Reina and Mascher are hardly old men. We do seem to be developing an aging back line though.

Pato has made a very impressive start to his career. Tim Vickery rates him extremely highly. Ive watched alot of Barca this year and i don't see anything in dos santos to say he is gona be a top player ive been very dissapointed with him so far..though bojan looks like he will be a very good player!

Word from Brazil is that the two youngsters who are earmarked as their stars in the 2010 World Cup squad are Pato….…and Lucas. Lucas is obviously a very different player, but he is very well rated in his homeland and his career with us is being
                    followed with some interest.

Looking forward to watching both of them develop.

Ive think lucas can develop into a really good player he needs to bulk up a bit and gain the confidence to start grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and bossing it because i think he could be a fabergas type player for us!

                        LMAO at that video!!

its the same 3 goals being shown over and over again for 4 minutes

he does look a talent. I was disappointed when we were linked to him and he then went to Milan not long after.
