      gilesy was right. whether people like it or not, the same faults we have at the moment were the same faults we had then.

      1. the barcelona team that came to anfield last year were a demoralised shadow of the previous year. despite overrunning them at will in the first half, we couldn't finish them off.

      2. we totally handed the iniative to them in the second half. we gave the ball away endlessly and pointlessy. we backed off and became extremely negative respecting and fearing the name of barcelona rather than going for the jugular. caution, negativity, constantly giving away possession - sound familiar? and gilesy's point is always that you may get away with these things on a particular night but you won't longterm.

      3. ronaldinho hit the post - if that had gone in we were out. big "if" maybe but people seem to think that "ifs" that justify our failures are fine.

          Think he's bad you should see Pat Dolan on Setanta.Dunphy has a fight on his hands to remain the biggest div on TV being paid to talk about something they clearly have no idea about.

                  and as for peacock. bbc football is rubbish now. used to have a great panel. now its just as **** as itv and sky, if not ****ter, sometimes i listen to some of those people and i swear they are a little bit handicapped
