Chelsea have been accused of "plundering" Italian club Reggina's youth team and "stealing" 15-year-old defender Vincenzo Camilleri.
Reggina were ready to offer the Under-16 international - who has already appeared in Serie A - a professional contract on his birthday next month.
But president Lillo Foti was furious to learn that Camilleri has agreed a deal to join Chelsea after going AWOL from a game at the weekend.
In a scene reminiscent of a James Bond film, Foti claimed Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen and Carlo Jacomuzzi "used Roman Abramovich's helicopter to land in our training camp and plunder him."
Reggina threaten to take the case to UEFA and seek damages in the civil courts as they will receive only nominal compensation for the transfer.
"Another talent from Italian football has been stolen away because the Chelsea of Mr Abramovich started talks when it was not allowed as the player was not yet 16 years old," Foti complained. "They used power and money against our daily work and sacrifice."
