    Gazza Arrested and sectioned?

    Can anyone confirm this.

My bro has just text me and told me they have taken him in under the Mental Health Act????
"Through me the way into the suffering city,
Through me the way to the eternal pain,
Through me the way that runs among the lost.
    Justice urged on my high artificer;
    My maker was divine authority,
The highest wisdom, and the primal love.
Before me nothing but eternal things were made,
    And I endure eternally.
Abandon every hope, ye who enter here."

    Gazza held after hotel incident
Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has been detained under the Mental Health Act following an incident at a hotel in Newcastle.

Northumbria Police a 40-year-old man was detained following an incident of disorderly behaviour at the Malmaison Hotel early on Wednesday.

Officers later visited Mr Gascoigne at Gateshead's Hilton Hotel after concerns were raised about his behaviour.

Police said he was not in custody and was now receiving medical treatment.

The cops have emergency powers under the MHA, doesn't mean he's necessarily been "sectioned" as people might understand it.

Shame.. Look at what too many people blowing wind into your sails (whilst surreptitiously creamin off as much cash as they can), does to a man..

Hopefully the times when advisors are all crooked are behind us.. Im fairly sure I read somewhere that American Footballers have to go thru sort opf regime in which they are taught what is ok and what is a no no.. To avoid thingh like "Baby Momma Drama" as they so eloquently call it..

Do we have anything like that process in place in the UK?

              Gazza Arrested and sectioned?

Breaking news on the beeb, apparently some incident in a hotel and Gazza's been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

For all his sins, a very talented footballer but deeply troubled soul who looks like he is about to hit rock bottom.

I feel a bit sorry for aul Gazza tbh. Watched him on Richard & Judy a while back and he looked genuinely sorry for his mistakes and wanted to get his life back on track.
Obviously this isn't good at all.

Bout time he was sectioned. Should have been sectioned when he attacked his wife the first time

He's one of those 'stars' who cant handle not being in the spotlight, needs to be loved by the public.

Also another example of the destruction caused by boozing

Interesting point of view from your lofty perch.

btw - I do not or ever will agree with wife beating. But to be sectioned for it?
                    Oh I don't know.

Sorry pal but that's a steaming pile of horse****.

The bloke has been treated for depression since he was 8 years old FFS.

To be fair though the fame and adulation and it's loss is clearly an exascerbating factor to the already existent depression.

Of course it is but it's far from being as simple as V painted in his post.
