    Lisandro Lopez

    Of Porto

    I think this guy is seriously under-rated. He is only 24 and a cracking striker. He scores goals for fun. He is a menace in the box, very direct striker who attacks the ball with real venom. I think he is another option for what we need upfront.

    Torres has the pace and ability to beat players, Lopez is a natural finisher who would complement him superbly. He gets into good postions to finish off moves, got a great strike on him and a brilliant headerer of the ball. He's scored another 2 tonight (match still ongoing) and i think he is miles ahead in scoring charts in Portugal. Also scored a nice one at Anfield

    We should sign him in my opinion

    Finished 3-0. A regular cruise in the park for Porto. Seriously though Lopez scored 2 and would have had a few assists too if he had a half decent strike partner. The lads talented.

    I think he would be more affordable than the likes of David Villa or certain other top class proven strikers

      never watched portuguese football much so i cant say ive seen the lad play much. going on his goal scoring record ( 28 in 75) he looks good. also says on wiki he scored 13 in his first 15 games which is a great tally.

      how much would he cost? less that 10 mil?

        The only problem is that the Portuguese league is at about the same standards of the Dutch league (maybe slightly higher).

        He may well be a good player, but you have to remember that a striker has to be clinical in the prem. Sometimes you only get one decent chance. THey also need to have decent upper body strength.

          I agree the teams in the lower half of the Portuguese league are pretty crap but he can only beat whats put in front of him. He's up and coming. In a year or so he will probably be banging in the goals in la liga.

          His form at the moment is superb, quality player.

          Get him Rafa please. He wouldnt cost as much as some of the bigger names

              So 15 in his last 60. and with the amount of chances he must get for porto in that league, that doesn't seem very good....

              If he's only 24 though, he can get better

                no, he's been at porto since 2005. he scored 13 in 15 at the start of this season.

                actually just checked he has 18 in 19 this season.

                    Belter. Good value this lad would be. Scoring regularly, good performance again. He is to them what Torres is to us

                            it was a very well taken penalty but the keeper made a brilliant save. was also a quality goal from him...

                              he is a very good striker. He's got that touch of class about him, and is quicker than he looks.
