I think Derby and Fulham are both goners.

Reading to me look like the side most likely to join them despite their weekend win. They have a serious like of firepower coupled with a leaky defence - always a recipie for disaster.

Failing that, I can see Newcastle getting dragged into it. If Keegan doesn't get his first win soon they'll be in real trouble. They're not as good as they think they are and certainly not too good to go down - there's no such thing as being too good to go down. The table doesn't lie.

I'm surprised at the dislike for Newcastle. I used to like them for their support and general style of play. I also like them because we generally beat them. And I'll always have a soft spot for Keegan, the first great Liverpool striker I remember, and an attacking-minded manager. I feel sorry for them in a sort of trying not to laugh kind of way.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Yes, strikers before the colour television era were rubbish. Hunt and St John were over-rated, Liddell wasn't really a striker etc, etc.

Who? Did we get him from Middlesbrough in the 1980s? Or was that David?
Back to the subject, I expect Derby, Fulham and Newcastle to go down.
