Whats this fuss about Tim Cahill?

The guys 'celebration' has caused a lot of unwanted fuss in the media today. In fact, a story about Everton shows the news people are bored (but thats a different story).

Does anyone support Tim Cahill's actions after his goal when he crossed his hands symbolising his brother being thrown into jail and being cuffed. (His brother was found guilty for partially blinding a man, otherwise known as GBH, and being put down for six years)

Do you find this disgusting as Tim Cahill is using a public forum to support his brother or is everyone just becoming a bit PC?

Personally, I find it was stupid and he should apologise. The victims family must be shocked if they see that and I will wonder what the FA will do with FIFA's strong legislation on political statements.

    Cahill = knobhead.

What a ****tish thing to do. His brother committed a sickening crime.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Didn't Fowler get a 2 match ban for THAT celebration against Everton a few years ago and what sort of a bad did he get for the dockers t-shirt against Brann Bergen?

Cahill should get 3 matches minimum. **** it, seeing they are pushing us for fourth, ban him until the end of the season.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Of course you cant support someone who's committed such a crime...or certainly you cant go around defending the crime.

Having said that, it's not surprising that Cahill would back his brother. It's all pretty meaningless in the cold light of day and little will be remembered about it in a day or two's time.

He's a thug and so is his brother.

              Prick :whatever:

I hope the FA throw the book at him.

He's not a cunt, he's supporting a member of his family who he is close to. His brother, without knowing the details of the case, is the one who seems to be the cunt.

Cahill was wrong to portray his support in this manner, though I think his emotions got the better of him. Cahill is not making light of the crime commited, nor is he debating the fact that his brother deserves to be inside. His intention was to support, not to upset.

I do think that Cahill or Everton FC should make a small payment to the man who was assaulted though, as a gesture of good faith.

fair enough its his brother, but if mine did that i'd be ashamed, not going round making 'look at me' pr gestures :whatever:

It's not great but it's a bit more imaginative than the crappy boxing celebration he does.

It's not very fair as the victims family doesn't have a public forum where they can show similar support.

All my mates go on about how good cahill is. It vexes me bigtime. He is a version of lampard good for a goal but when he is against any good teams he doesn't stand out coz he doesn't possess much more to his game. He is at his level with everton!
