Spurs playing better now. More positive. Chance for Malbranque is deflected wide. Their best opportunity.

See Shaggy, I spelt it correctly.

Malbranque has another opportunity. Brilliant ball from Berbatov to the back post and Steed hit it straight at the keeper. Spurs after the corner have a decent opportunity with Woodgate who heads wide. Gomes is a flapper. Spurs need to keep up this pressure.

Spurs 0-1 PSV 5 mins to go

The half time period has been the most exciting part of the game over here in Florence.

I'd rather they got to the final - it'd make our game at WHL on the final day of the season much easier.

Teams are out for the 2nd half here, everton to get us underway.

                  Any changes at half time?

No changes. Everton have started positively with a prolonged attack down the right. Weak appeals for a pen as the ball strikes a defender in the box. Ref correctly gives a corner, which everton promptly waste.

                      Yep, but 'defleted'?!?

Some brilliant one touch football between Berbatov, Keane and Malbranque with a chance by Malbranque being squandered. Encouraging stuff from Spurs and O Hara might come on in the second half as he is warming up at the touchline quite vigorously.

Over a minute plus maybe another minute added on time here at White Hart Lane. Stll 0-0

Fiorentina go close, long range effort low towards bottom corner, Howard puts it behind. Corner swings harmlessly over everyone and behind.

Its been poor from me. Spurs and Keane had a great chance, tipped away by the awful Gomes.

The game is lacking a bit of tempo, not helped by the picky nature of the ref who seems to be doing a sponsored 'whistle-athon'.

Fiortentina attack down the left, Vieri showing surprising signs of energy, skips away from a challenge which came close to catching him in the box. Deft cross to far post, everton put it behind. Corner finds Fiorentina player who heads into the ground and harmlessly wide.

One piece of sloppiness by Gilberto has gifted the lead to PSV after a swift counter attack from PSV which was neatly finished by Farfan. The game was very poor until the goal but there has been a positive reaction from Spurs. Several chances falling to Malbranque which he has wasted and a great chance for Keane which he failed to dispatch.

Here at White Hart Lane its 1-0 to PSV and most importantly, its that precious away goal.
