Thanjk you.

I actually agree with Ronaldo. The refs in the PL are rubbish and allow far to much.
Every tackle with your studs up is at least a yellow card, 10 times out of ten. Not like it's now that he may get a yellow or red card. It should be a yellow/red every time.
I don't think we will be laughing if Torres gets injured because of a stupid ref.
It's time for the refs to start doing their job.
No wonder that more or less no technical young english players are coming through anymore when you consider that they get kicked at time and time again and the refs allows it to happen.
Every tackle from behind that don't hit the ball is at least a yellow card, 10 times out of ten.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Last time I checked it was players making the tackles.
Our referees are no better or worse than anywhere else in the world. There are some better or worse than others and sometimes decisions go for and against you.
The more technical players always have been given more attention than others, to sugest that is why we aren't bringing through technical players in a nonsense.
The high tackle has now replaced goal line technology as the hot topic because of the Eduardo tackle. FIFA should do something about it and look to stamp it out of football because it obviously can ruin careers but it is a contact sport when all said and done. I don't want to see rough and tumble being taken out of our game.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Rough and tumble is fine as long as you at least try to hit the ball or take the ball and it's you intention to do it.
If you make a tackle and show your studs then it's dangerous play and you risk injuring the other player. You also know when you make the tackle that that chance exist and it's 100% your fault if the player get injured.
If you make a tackle without showing your studs then you really can't be blamed if the player get injured.

You mean the ref today who booked Rooney purely for intent. Seems like that is clamping down to me.

The problem is that they are not doing it all the time.

Eh? What sort of tangents are you on tonight? Refs should clamp down on high tackles. I only seen one high boot and that was from Rooney and he only got a yellow. Ronaldo was bullied in the first half by Diarra and Fergie didn't like that. Well, I suggest that he manages basketball then.
I liked Distin's analogy about the penalty situation. Why should Distin allow him to go through? Its his job as a defender to make sure the ball doesn't go in the net within the legal boundaries and I felt that was a legal shoulder barge.

I'm pretty sure shoulder barges are no longer legal and haven't been for a good few years.
