Villa are out of the race for 4th place now IMO. It's between us and the bitters.

We're still gunning for the league mind.

Late charge for the double, goal difference on the last day of the season. Rafa given the keys to the city.

10 points off the pace still, how a catastrophic season it's turned out.

I've watched us lately and I can safely say that we're probably the most in form team in Europe at the moment. We're playing some sublime football and we look invincible right now.

How does that compare from the doom and gloom 1 month ago.

If we'd stuck out 6 more points through silly drawn games, I really think we would have won the league, as we're starting to see Rafa's rotation policy reaping it's dividends late into the season.

While 10 points off the top is indeed not catastrophic in that sense, it doesnt mean we're still in the hunt. The top 3 arent going to lose 10 games between them unfortunately.

It doesn't need to be 10 games mate. Us against the Arse and Manure are 6 pointers. We win that and it's suddenly 5 points off United and 7 points off the Arse.

It'll all depend how fresh and how strongly they will finish all. Let's not forget that they've still got the CL to think of and the fact United lost out last season (CL), they'll probably want to put this right and maybe just maybe they'll drop points in the PL.

If we keep on winning, I'd say that anything is possible.

It won't be easy, but we're certainly closer compared to last season.

Technically DJS is right.... the three teams above ALL need to get beat probably 3times for us to have a chance*

*assuming we win EVERY game from now til the end of the season - a HUGE ask.

                      3 x 3 points is 10?

It's a very huge task indeed but all the top teams have to play each other and they're bound to drop a fair number of points. And if we beat them ....

Difficult, but it's money time right now, and we seem to be building up a head of steam. I think we're ominously coming good at the moment, and the way we dispatched of Inter makes me think we're up there and possibly better than most.

Too little too late probably ... but we don't know.

Arse 3x3, plus another lose somewhere gives 10 loses in total... but the fact remains that ALL 3 teams above need to hit a rut... which wont happen.

Team at the bottom are fighting for their lives as there aren't much games to play for. As I've said, we probably blew it in January and it's a shame as I think we would have been right up there fighting if not, but there's still life therefore:

I think the best we can hope for is success in Europe and setting a marker for next year - progress in the league at this point in time would be to go to Old Trafford and Emirates and beat them...

I admire your enthusiasm Fredo, old bean but Man U, Arsenal, and Chelsea all wont capitulate

What we can be though is a nuisance to Arsenal and United, by taking points off them.
