it does make you wonder if rafa does sign alves or pennant then where will momo fit into the team? rafa would never play a five man midfield? Or would he?

The Malay word for 'attack fiercely' is 'amok'. One explanation of the phrase is that Malays sometimes got drunk and run around shouting 'amok, amok'.

That stat is misleading. To me a successful cross is one that ends up with a goal being scored.

Pennant had only FIVE assists, yes that rights FIVE assists in the league last year. 1.2M per assist. Give me a break. Spend whatever it takes to get Alves, he is in a different class to JP.

If we are looking for a RM then at least thats what Pennant is. Plus he has premiership experience
He can play as an attack-minded fullback or a midfielder. The reason he plays RB for Sevilla is they have another very talented RM player in Jesus Navas.

I doubt Rafa would be looking at splashing out around

Which just shows how crap heskey and Co were last year. With the amount of crosses he gets onto a teammates head/shoulder/knee, there would be a hell of a lot more assists if those balls are hitting Fowler/Crouch/Bellamy.

Pennant will be a Good buy.

We will buy him and Alves and a Striker.

                      Second that dude

I do think Pennant has by all accounts (all of his own valition of course) recevied too much grief about his perosnal life.

Under Rafa I am sure he will come good. Lets give him a chance as I am sure we all will. Ive got a good feeling about this lad with right guidance and team support he can be really special.

Heres hoping if we do get him

Bellamy's career average is about 10 goals
                        Lurch's is less.

But Fowler can knock them in from crosses Bren, although I dont expect to see him in more than two-thirds of our games next season.

Regardless, I dont think Pennant is the answer, having said that, just any right winger in red standing next to Rafa may give me a seizure of some kind I'll be that excited it's actually happened.

I don't think I've been less sure of the starting XI on the first day of the season in my entire life

Pennant better than Alves, imo. Cheaper by 6
