Linekars new woman is fine, what a superb speciman of the female race. I'd be over that like white on rice in flash. I have heard that the press have loads of dirt on Linekar, but were reluctant to disclose given his near saint like status.
as for Beckham/Maldini role model-obviously the kids these days will see Beckham as a role model, just due to the sheer media machine that is set up for him. However, he does appear to be a good father to the kids and does do a lot for charity (except that time when he pulled out of a fundraiser in a strop as he hadnt been picked by Capello)

However, for me Maldini gets my utmost and ultimate respect. A true legend in the game, conducts himself with good grace and manners and class above all others.

I think the 2005 final proves this where he stood and watched us lift the cup and congratulated the players whilst the majority of the Milan squad threw their medals and went down the tunnel. Ultimate professional
