Sevilla ace Daniel Alves agrees Barcelona terms

Sevilla ace Daniel Alves agrees Barcelona terms
    tribalfooball.com - April 03, 2008

Sevilla fullback Daniel Alves has tentatively agreed to join Barcelona for next season, it has been revealed.

DiarioSport says terms over a five-year contract have been struck and Alves will now watch from the sidelines as Barca seek to negotiate a fee for the Brazilian with Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido.

Alves is quietly confident Del Nido won't play hardball with Barca after the fiasco of last August which saw him priced out of a dream move to Chelsea.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We need more intelligent players than him anyway. A player thinking that Del Nido won't play hardball isn't right in the head.

I suspect Alves had agreed terms with us 2 years ago, and Chelsea last year too...

He had agreed terms with us 2005 and 2006 and with Chelsea and Real 2007.

He can't have that long left on his contract now?

He signed a new one two years back and before that a new one three years back.

Del Nido knew what was coming with the chance for a player to buy out his contract after three or four years. Alves is now stuck for at least two more years and can only leave on Del Nido's terms.

He just uses these rumours to negotiate a better deal for himself with Sevilla.
