Newcastle boss Keegan: I want Henry

Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan has revealed he wants to bring Barcelona striker Thierry Henry back to England.

"I would like to fetch Thierry Henry back to England," Keegan told Radio Newcastle. "He's the best player I've seen in the Premiership. When you're pitch-side, what I've seen him do to good players has been incredible. Sometimes you can take advantage of a situation and get what I call lucky."

He's trying to score points with the fans and the geordies are so thick it's working.

Who would Henry end up at if he comes back to England (which he will either this or next year), now that is a good question. Most likely destination is actually here. Yes London would be preferable but he surely can't go to chelsea or spurs and the rest of the London clubs are ****e. We know he loves LFC and we know Gerrard has spent a lot of money on txts trying to persuade him to come to anfield. If not, you just never know, he may just end up at James if they offer him 200k a week!

          Another classic Keegan quote.

Not sure I'd really want him here. He is getting on a bit (but is a very good player, obviously)

Has he done much in Spain? Not really been following.

He's been ok. Not near the standard he set here mainly due to injuries and Rijkaard playing him more in the Kuyt role(now) for us. He's still been decent though scoring a few and with some nice assists.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has made a move for Barcelona striker Thierry Henry.

DiarioSport says Abramovich has had Blues representatives contact Henry's minders for an update on the Frenchman's situation at the Nou Camp.

The former Arsenal captain still has a house in London and admits he regards the city as "home". Chelsea coaching staff have no concerns over Henry's struggles at Barca this season and are convinced he would soon recapture his best form if he was to arrive at Stamford Bridge.

Not a bad replacement for Drogba. And with £s to spare, not that they need them.

Bloody london, what the **** is so special about london to these players, it should be the stature of the club that they should be concerned with. Is it that it's the type of city that inflates & panders to egos. Ok in Henry's case its his daughter, but ffs Liverpool aint that far for a millionaire in this day & age.

Chelsea and Barca have a link in Henk ten Cate the old assistant to Rijkaard.

We don't need him. We have Torres, and I can't see them playing together under Rafa.
                              Oh I don't know.
