Half Time Chelsea 0-0 Wigan
This has been very disappointing from Chelsea. They are clearly lacking that creative spark and have been limited to just the single chance which fell to new signing Anelka who looped a header six yards out and was tipped over majestically by Chris Kirlkand.
Steve Bruce will be the happier of the two managers who clearly has sent out his side to stay disciplined and try to break whenever Chelsea through numbers forward.
Boos ringing at half time will give Avram Grant some food for thought. I suggest Joe Cole should come on for John Obi Mikel as there isn't much need for three central players as Wigan aren't controlling the game and don't look like keeping the ball at all times.Comment
