    Rooney to play for Ireland!!!

    Not that Rooney, his brother.

"Wayne Rooney's younger brother John could soon be making his international football debut... for the Republic of Ireland.
And another member of the extended family looks set to follow him.

Reports have emerged that 17-year-old midfielder, who currently plays for League Two side Macclesfield Town, is considering declaring for the Republic.

Like his famous brother, John was also on the books of Everton, but was released at the age of 14.

He made his first team debut last month and, with the Republic due to play in next month's U17 European Championships in Turkey, he could soon be fast-tracked into the Irish set-up...."

Oh it's just the usual ****e from the people from the nation of superstar footballers. The nation that will give us all the usual master class of footy they always promise and fail to deliver, in the summer. Oh, that's right, they didn't qualify.

nope, I was merely answering the good man's question. The Ireland (or should I say all of the rest of Europe) vs England thing is beyond hitting a nerve, noone pays any attention anymore. We just sit back and laugh when the England team fails miserably time after time only for the next campaign to begin witht he usual chorus of "we're going to win the world cup" and end with a 1/4 final place at best!

Let's face facts, this chap may be crap, Ireland may be crap but the English national side are the laughing stock of the football world!

Are you English? Can't you see the funny side of an England supporter implying that the Irish are ****e when you're just as bad?

Quite right. I don't support England as much as I used to when I was a kid and Owen was the main man but England is the laughing stock the world in terms of international football. For heavens sake, it was the English who invented the bloody thing.

Yes, the English have the best league in the world according to Sky Sports but it has had a detrimental effect on the national sides of the future. It is about time we had a system similar to La Masia in Barcelona (obviously not poaching Argentinians with growth problems) but a proper academy where kids play football more than twice a week for two hours. Its time the FA made something like Clairefontaine around the country so kids are properly developed instead of being messed about by the Premiership clubs with trials and auditions and the sort.

oh how wrong you are. the first form of football ( or something that resembled it ) was in china many moons ago. The Scottish were playing football back in the 17th century. The english ( The FA ) were not formed till 1840-1870ish.

so, the chinese invented it, the scots formed the basis of it, and the english stole it and tried to claim it as there own!
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
