why do tv presenters refer to david moyes as succesful? why?

He successfully avoided the drop in 2003/2004. He successfully guided them to the Champions League qualifying stages. He successfully sold Everton's best player in decades for a huge transfer fee. He successfully broke Everton's transfer record three seasons on the trot (Beattie, Johnson and Yakubu). He successfully guided them to the top of group A in this season's UEFA cup from where he was able to take his boys in blue all the way to the round of 16 where he had the misfortune of meeting one of Europe's true powerhouses, Fiorentina.

However, these successes are all dwarfed by Moyes' two League Managers Association Manager of the Year Awards, in 2003 and 2005, which take pride of place in the Goodison trophy cabinet. Many a young lad has had his photo taken with the awards, the sight of which is known to make them weak at the knees.

I'm glad Chelsea are still in the premiership title race. If they're competing on two fronts they can't fully focus on either, which hopefully will be good for us. I worry about Joe Cole though - he's their craftiest player by a mile, and he always seems to do well against us.
