I think its a cyclical thing. Eventually, the Italian and Spanish teams will become stronger in the Champions League and compete properly.

There's bound to be pockets of trouble and maybe some of it really, really nasty. But I would hope that the majority of REAL footballing fans could put aside the differences for what could be the highlight of English football. I feel with the right policing methods, it wouldn't be as bad as we think it could be.

Is that hoping for too much?
