I listened to the Times podcast this week with an interview with Dunphy.

I've never really cared for him but he is spot on about Ronaldo.

I think he is the only player I have ever seen that if a decision doesn't go his way, stops, waves his hands in the air and stomps his feet even while the game is going on.

I listened to that and was surprised at how lucid, articulate and convincing Dunphy was when pontificating about Ronaldo. Fair play to him

While great entertaining stuff,
Dunphy flip-flops on Ronaldo..
He obviously felt he was pressurised into writing his article earlier in the season saying how he wrong about Ronaldo and what a great player he is etc etc etc..
But he was obviously waiting for one match where he could tear strips of him for the whole world (or at least RTE viewers) to see..

Funny thing is, Ronaldo has been like that all the time........its just the nature of it last night that everyone is finally starting to take notice..
Plenty of dives, moaning etc etc has been lost amongst the goals he has scored this year..
The same ManU fans who are moaning about Ronaldo today will be the same ones singing his praises if he cons a peno in the 2ns leg (and manages to score it this time !)
