    Eto

..... was an absolute disgrace tonight; no effort; no interest; no fight; looks like he knows he missed the Anfield boat last Summer .....

He was good at his job. He closed down from the front, he made clever and dangerous runs, linked up well with Messi and Iniesta.

I thought he showed great commitment, teamwork and spirit.

The whole world isn't Drogba or Ronaldo is it?

It's a fine line, but if there's contact which impedes your ability to either get the ball or do what you'd have done had there been no contact, you deserve the penalty and should go down...providing you havent instigated the contact yourself, like Gerrard did with Friedel in the Blackburn game.

If that had been us and Torres staying on his feet (without being able to take advantage of it), i'd have been furious. Missed opportunity for Barca.

It shows what sort of player Eto'o is.

I would still like it if Barca went through on a Ferdinand own goal.

In tonight's case, "stupid" is the kind of player Eto'o is.

                Not necessarily.

He probably thought he could have slid a nice pass for Messi but he overcomplicated things.

You aren't going to be guaranteed a goal from a penalty as we seen from Ronald McDildo.

If we're playing percentages, guarantee or not, i'd take the peno every time...unless you're staring at an open goal, ball at feet, and nobody within 10 yards of you or the goal line.

                    I think you'll find its 12 yards.

I wasnt talking about the penalty, i meant unless you're 10 yards out with an open goal, a peno is the best option.

In practical terms you are of course right, if he is at an angle rather than bearing in on goal it makes more sense to go down. I just hope that integrity is rewarded over the two legs, unlike the cunt Ronaldo who went down like a tonne of bricks.

If integrity is rewarded all the time, then fine. Stay on your feet.

We've seen time and time again though, that it isnt.

Time to play the 'if you cant beat them...' card IMO. We've always been too nice.
