Maybe this was a clever ploy, the steward ducks out the way and the Utd player gets smacked 'by mistake'

If they get away with this it's a ****ing disgrace. I'm not one to perpetuate the whole 'world against us' mentality but to have this kind of incident go unpunished, and for the referee to come out with such ridiculous comments makes my blood boil.

If what Mascherano did was bringing the game into disrepute then what the **** is this punch-up doing? Add to that the way Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Drogba and Cole (once again) were badgering the referee and you've got a whole bleeding cluster-****. But I bet any complaints about consistency will be brushed under the carpet by Martin Samuel et al for bring 'too precious' or whatever.
