really poor for barca - i think, i may be wrong, but they haven't scored a goal in FOUR games. As a poster above said, with the likes of Messi, Henry, Eto'o, Bojan, and add dec, gudjohnson etc etc - that is ****ing ****e.

Eto'o is ****ing wank - I can't belive that at one point I actually wanted us to sign him and possibly over torres

He did not want to pass to messi - ever - if this was fm and i was barca manager i'd be ****ing him off whilst i could still get about £10m for him. ******

But Messi - wha a player, brilliant touch, control, skill, balance, pace, passing, strength.

I would do anything to have him at Liverpool

Henry is playing in a team ill suited for him; Barca's defence (other than perhaps Milito) is a joke, one of my favourite fullbacks (Zambrotta) looks well past his best, Yaya Toure is a poor man's Sissoko, Iniesta isn't a Left winger, Xavi doesn't do enough, Eto'o couldn't give a ****, and Messi is an absolute joy to watch, he beats more players in a game than most do in a season. Wonderful.

Sid Lowe on the Guardian Podcast has been saying for weeks that Barcelona as a club are rotten to the core. You could see that last night; HUGE changes are needed.

That last one hits the nail on the head, he should shave it off and he'd instantly solve 50% of the problems at Barca...

That adds a few inches to his height. Can't be too bad.

Agreed - Granted they keep the ball and pass it round etc, but they look a shadow of BARCELONA - that name, like Liverpool, Man Utd, Ac Milan, Real Madrid etc should send shivers down the spines of other teams - that should ****ing **** their pants when even mentioned in the same breath as a team with that stature.

But Barca just don't look up to it (in fairness like we do and have done at times over the last 10 yrs or so)

                They need a new keeper,

Puyol and milito are solid but they need much better fullbacks

Xavi is great on the ball as is deco but they need to find a system where those two can play together yet they still get some width

They should cash in on Henry, Ronaldinho and Eto'o

and completely rebuild/restructure from back to front.

I could've throttled Abidal last night. He wasted so many good situations.

Xavi, Deco and Iniesta are too similar. Deco should not have played IMO. I'd have gone with Henry inside left with Xavi and Iniesta in the middle.

I was quite shocked (and appalled) at how bad Barca were last night. As Pleat said they played pretty patterns but had absolutely no end product. They were like a one man team.

Abidal was shockingly bad....the tactics shambolic and they seem to have an aversion to crossing the ball and shooting for that matter. Too many players playing out of position and they looked disinterested tbh....Henry must be ****ed off he's ended up there.

Gutted....we'd have spanked them in the final...now we've got to beat those plastic chavs and the scummers....NIGHTMARE!

Barca, Messi apart, looked pretty ordinary I thought.

Now, if I could break the bank for one player I think it would definitely be Messi. Only 20 years old as well - this guy is incredible.

Agreed mate. They were totally pants. Nowhere near as good as the team we beat over two legs. Refused to shoot and Eto'o could not get off the pitch fast enough. Played with no striker from what I could make out...they were all on the wings or in midfield.

Only tactic was to give it to Messi and hope he could score a super-goal. They were a let down and if we had played them in the final we probably would have hammered em and won 1-0

Thats what I was thinking, but it seems like we have to do it the hard way... Inter, Arsenal, Chelsea and the Mancs... Roll on No.6!!
