Met him in Woolton. True gentlemen and model footballer.

I hate it when people complain he gave the ball away too much and tried stupid flicks etc. Yes, he did lose the ball but who would be one of the first players running 40 yards to get it back or put pressure on him.
Who was the person who scored so many important and fantastic goals i.e. Juventus, Chelsea etc.
I am a very big fan of Alonso, but he has given the ball away a hell of a lot this season when he has played and he does not get the criticism that garcia got.

To say he is 10x worse than Riise could not be further from the mark. Again, I used to like Riise but now see that his spectacular goals used to mask one of his major problems. That he was not as good as some thought, especially in defence. Sentiment can only go so far and I think he needs to be one of the growing number of dead wood we need to get rid off. i.e. Voronin, Itandje and possibly even Pennant.

makes me wonder if people realise how fast the game is and how well organised most defenses are these days.

If he was a holding midfielder then yes but he's trying to do something that bit special high up the pitch and it will/can go wrong every now and again. For me its like its a reaction not a thought and some games it won't come off.
How many goals did we loose to a Luis miss placed pass. Sure it wasn't as much as some of our midfield players?

Torres is world class up front end off - but even with our 1st 20 plus goals a season player we are still 4th, granted closer to the top.

We lost a Liverpool player when Luis went and if he could of linked up with Torres like he did early on with Stevie we would of been a lot better attacking team.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

        NO.
You are just going to disagree with everything I say now

The point you just made is about as stupid as your Gerrard comments.
Garcia was a match winner and had that bit of magic that the fans love.
Very much reliable in my eyes and I would take him back no problem.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

          NO.
It's as clear as day to see there are certain players you have an axe to grind for and those who you feel you need to protect.

I'll tell you what: Riise has been absolutely ****ing ****e for 2 years and forgive me if my heart isn't bleeding for a player picking up £50k a week for doing **** all. This is based on every match I have been to this year where every single person around me has been going red in the face watching 60 yard shots, loose passing and 2 own goals (with, by the way, none in at the other end).

Garcia, on the other hand, was one of the most exciting attacking players we've had for many a year, and people forget that before he got injured in his last season for us he was making the left-side his own. Garcia was huge for us when we won the European Cup, think what influence Riise has had on this season's and tell me how he's 10x more reliable.

Lil Luis () will always hold a special place in my heart. The Missus has a big picture of him jumping in the air to celebrate a goal on our fridge.

Not sure it's work out realistically, but assuming he was prepared to come back & wouldnt cost too much, I would welcome him back into our sqad with open arms...& I am sure Rafa would too.

              Luis.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                He couldn't be trusted.

Pass and move the Liverpool groove? Was never gonna happen with Luis in the side.

Sound, but putting the ball in your own ****ing net in the last second of a Champions League semi-final represents the act of a player who can be trusted?

                          ****ing bilge.

Was a brill player and made a great contribution. But we got a good deal for him and its time to move on. The reason he doesnt play regularly in Madrid is because he doesnt stay fit these days. Injury prone. Which is why selling him was the right move at the right time
