Heard on MOTD yesterday that Mellberg gave all the travelling Villa fans a signed shirt at his own expense (£50,000+ according to the Birmingham Post. There were 3,200 of them).

Good on you mate - nice to see in the age of greed that a lot of the Prem stars seem to live in.

Although £50k is nothing to an international footballer and PL star, any of them COULD make gestures like this, but he actually took the time to do it.
