Chavs return 5000 tickets - Jesus wept

Thinking of trotting off to the Luzhniki Stadium next week for the Champions league final? You may want to give it a few days, as the ticket prices are likely to tumble right down to face value.

A Spoiler informant bought tickets for the final through official UEFA channels before the semi-finals were decided. As a Liverpool fan, said informant no longer wanted to trek all the way behind the Iron Curtain, so yesterday he rang a ticket agency to try to sell the tickets on. He was told that he would only get face value (around £100) for them, as Chelsea had returned 5,000 tickets on Monday morning and demand was pretty low.

I rang a few ticket agencies this morning, and the best offer I could get was £650 per ticket (a lot cheaper than the £6,000 being quoted recently).

Obviously, the greedy touts denied any knowledge of supply exceeding demand when I made my enquiries, but give it a few days and the panicked sellers will be offloading them for something a lot closer to the price of a hot dog at Wembley.

It’s almost unthinkable to imagine a team being unable to sell their entire Champions League final ticket allocation, but due to the reticence of the Stamford Bridge faithful and the negative press surrounding travel arrangements, this embarrassing prospect is quite realistic.

    (if true)

i heard/read somewhere that both united and chelsea were struggling to sell their tickets - not so much cause of the fans being classless cunts but cause it's a ****ing nightmare to get to moscow due to costs etc etc etc
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

thats what happens when you have 2 teams whos fan base is about 25% real fans and the rest glory hunters who "like to watch man utd but support carlisle"

Well perhaps we'll see UEFA telling refs to give us major decisions as our fans would travel and bolster their coffers.

More seats for 'friends' of UEFA. They won't care.

well guess that's what happens when you put the final in Moscow. I'd imagine, given the difficulties and expense in travelling out there, most people would have difficulties getting out there.

I'm suprised Chelsea didn't give out free plastic plane tickets to go with their free plastic flags and plastic fans.

It's also possible the tout agency said there were 5000 being returned so it pushes down their buying price.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

I've heard that it'll cost around 2k for travel, ticket, one nights accommodation and visa.

United fan at work is saying that he wouldn't be surprised if they sent back some of their allocation too - a lot of fans can't afford to get out there.

Even the official website is running a competition which includes flights and tickets, but no accommodation -

One of the lads here was thinking about it. Think it was 1400 euro for a day trip (no ticket) and 2300 euro for a day trip including ticket.
                      He's not going.

We'd have still taken 40k out there.

We did for the last 2 we've been in, and they were hardly easy to get to.

Yeah. The mini buses would be setting off this weekend to make it in time.
