My street was a toilet after the final whistle last night - men AND women pissing everywhere!

The place is still an absolute mess this morning - why haven't hordes of teams been working around the clock?!?

It's also the Great Manchester Run this Sunday, so they'll have a job on to make the place look respectable for it!

didn't see much trouble at 7 last night when I was walking from Piccadilly to Deansgate - but the sheer weight of numbers and the amount of people absolutely ****-faced meant that something had to give, I saw loads of lads unable to stand - I mean properly rubber legged - and also loads just vomiting in the middle of the street. Unreal.

The Scots definitely consider how much ale they can guzzle as a sort of badge of honour, no doubt, they started a bit early as far as i can see, i do wonder why so much ale was so readily available. I heard there were tankers of the stuff on tap for them. All about £££ i expect.

When i was in the mist of the rangers fans, i noticed loads and loads of chelsea shirts, flags, scarfs and some rangers/chelsea flags and shirts...what is the deal with this association? Although it does allow me to hate both of them more now
Just look at the face: it's vacant, with a hint of sadness. Like a drunk who's lost a bet.

But whichever thick cunts makes these decisions obviously didnt realise the implications of not showing the game. If they wherent going to show it, they shouldve informed everyone at 6 o clock and give people time to fine somewhere else, not at ****in kick off. Its an absolute disgrace, and so typical of UEFA event. I couldve organised it better, it was a sham.
Surely if the big screen was pulled because of safety concerns that would ultimately have been the decision of Greater Manchester Police not UEFA.

                Blame where blame is due.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                    Agreed.

But aren’t the fan parks run by UEFA?

Either way, if the screen was turned off rather than a technical failure then someone has to be accountable.

The behaviour witnessed last night is inexcusable but UEFA/GMP/whoever has to take their share of the blame. Another shambolic UEFA event.

I fear this will look like nothing compared to Moscow next week. I don't care what teams the fans are from, I don't want football disgraced by these kind of scenes.

                            Agreed.

If they had legitimate safety concerns then I suppose they were right to shut it down and move people to the other screens at the velodrome. However, if they were going to do this it should have been done hours, rather than minutes, before kick-off. The square was packed solid for hours before the game and they had ample opportunity to see that it was over crowded. I doubt that there would have been too much arguing if they'd done it earlier in the day instead of making them miss the game.

There are estimates of 200,000 fans - I think it's a fairly unique set of circumstances and one where it could only be replicated if a team with a huge support were playing in a local city, as we saw yesterday.

I think Manchester would have been fine if any other club (perhaps barring Celtic) had made the final.

Saying that, the powers at be should have known that a pretty exceptional set of circumstances were being played out and acted accordingly.

I'd be surprised if 15,000 of each teams fans attends next week, which the Russians should handle (as I'm sure Manchester would have done)

True - Office dibble had been warned of a serious human danger if they had shown the match - Buses had been laid on 5 minutes before kick off to escort and drop fans at the Veledrome (5mins away from the stadium) or 40 mins walk from Piccadilly gardens.
