    Best 10 Sides in Europe

It never ceases to amaze me the depth of knowledge of some of our site's members regarding the European sides, players etc. Unbelievable at times. Lads and lasses please list, in order, your top ten current club sides in Europe together with a brief explanation ( if you can be arsed! ).
Still sorting out my list. The less bias the better. I'm dead keen to see what you all come up with. Thanks.

Hmm, that is a though one but as of now I would say:

Man Utd (PL + CL final)
Chelsea (close to the PL + CL final)
LFC (another semi + a good last run in the PL)
Inter (prob winning their third serie A in a row this weekend)
          Real (spanish champs in style)
Bayern (german champs comft. + good run in europe)
          Roma (just a good side)
Lyon (who can count the number of champ. they are close to winning??)
Arsenal (good side, but not have the best run this year so far)
Villareal (are playing very well in la liga, and having players of huge potential)

Can't find room for barca the way they are playing ATM, neither AC milan eventhough they had a good run in the second half of the season. Juventus could perhaps be in there, but they haven't been in europe this season, so hard to compare...

Man Utd - League champions & Champs league finalists
Chelsea - lost league on GD and champs league finalists
Real Madrid - Won the Spanish League at a canter
Inter Milan - Best team in Italy.
Bayern Munich - Best team in Germany.
Liverpool - Champions league semi final and no league challange
Lyon - six French league titles in a row.
Roma - Despite having no strikers they are second in the Italian league.
            Villareal - Spain's yellow submarine.
            Glasgow Rangers -

For me my decisions are based on more than simply form - We are a perfect example of this, i.e we lose in the prem and are generally struggling but then we whup Inter in Europe. This is down to our History, Eurpean nous and pure experience, as such my top ten are based on who I think would be the top ten if there was say a mini league of good european clubs. I will however use my judgement on teams I think are currently on fire a la Zenit.
In order then from 1st to 10th here are my top european giants -

1st - Liverpool - No one can deny that in Europe we are damn good!
2nd - Manu - based more on this seasons form than anything else
3rd - Milan - experience and history tends to get them through year after year
4th - Barca - despite being ****e this year they are always there or thereabouts
5th - Real - Can never rule them out despite generally being inconsistent
6th - Arsenal - good football and work ethic always sees them progress but they can never take that final step it seems, still, up there in my estimation.
7th - Inter - Milans poor relations when it comes to europe but consistent enough to always qualify
8th - Zenit - purely on this seasons form they have been electric and due to being rich I can see this club going from strength to strength.
9th - Chelsea - Romans Billions will see them qualify for the latter stages year after year
10th - Juventus - they were good, now they are not, but they will be again.

Thats my Top Ten based on my opinions alone.

Would we have even got close to the top 10 in Houllier's tenure? We weren't even near the top 20. Brondby anyone? How far we've come eh !!

                    1. Liverpool- World's Best. Should be Euro Kings agen but bad luck fecked it up
                    2. Real Madrid- Didn't show their true form in Champions league but on their day can be awesome
                    3. Cristiano Ronaldo FC- Jammy scumbags
                    4. Chelsea- £1 Billion buys u a good team
                    5. Arsenal- Badly missed RVP, Rosicky and Eduardo for long spells. Poor defence but 1st eleven fully fit are awesome
                    6. Barcelona- So many problems. But underneath a quality squad, just lacking desire and unity
                    7. Inter- Good squad, injury plagued though. In need of new management asap. Ready made for Mourinho
                    8. Villareal- Played some quality football this season
                    9. Bayern- Good squad, quality team at times- but needs alot of improvement
                    10. Lyon- Some super players, dont have the physical aspect or bottle to win the european cup but still a good team

Weirdest thing is that AC Milan are the current European champions but they have been sooooooo poor this year its unreal. Need a massive shake up

How do you work that out?
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

They have a better team, or at least, had a better team this season. Not a big difference, but I think they have more in them, except from character of course, which is why we beat them in the CL.

If you're asking why I put all the 4 English teams in the top 4, it's because I honestly think any one of them would have won the Serie A or La Liga this season had they been in it.

They finished above us in the league.
