Draging the conversation back to something approaching sanity what do people think Milan will do spend big to rejuvenate an aging squad or cut their cloth according to their position in the league and aim to make more modest signings that see them capable of running around a bit at least. Considering how awful they were for large parts of the season they weren't far off the CL and Berlusconi was making noises that he wasn't going to keep pumping vast amounts of cash in in the future.

I see them bringing in a couple of new faces, maybe a new centre back but thats all. I don't see Milan spending loads, I could be wrong. I don't want to pull a Caco and downright think Torres would be a bad signing.

Atletico got the 4th position and CL football. They finished ahead of Sevilla on their head-to-head record.

Could Seedorf do a job for us for a season?

Still looks as strong, fast and as fit as ever when I've seen him on telly.

Gattuso is rumoured to be heading to Munich.

well in order to help with the rebuild Milan desperatley needed the cl footy gfor next year. i know that they have been heavily linked to Drogba and Ronnie, but would they go as there is no CL. Could they be arsed to help with amassive rebuild?
I do think Milan will spend big this summer, but we will also see some big names go.They will do everything to get back into the CL.

Also, another team that failed to make the CL was Ajax. Now then, that is a team defo worth having a look at. Obviously there is Huntlaar, but also have that young lb and young CB (names escape me) who seem to be quite tasty.

You might be thinking of Heitinga (sp?)

Apart from Huntelaar i dont rate any of the Ajax players highly. The dutch league is extremely poor. Huntelaar and Sneider are the best they have produced of late

Heitinga signed for Atletico (I think) somewhere in Spain anyhow.

Think it is Urby Emanulsan (sp) Hetinga wasnt the other guy I was thinking of.

I am not surprised. How they beat us in the CL final last year is beyond me. We were all over them

According to the Guardian podcast Gattusso is off to Bayern (i.e. Flamini is a replacement for him).

Lack of the real deal in front of goal.

I'm pretty sure they think the same about 2005.
                            Oh I don't know.
