France will get knocked out in the group stage.

Switzerland will have a good tournament. My dark horses for the semi-finals.

    Italy-Germany final.

I shall be supporting Croatia and Spain.

But let us hope and pray that football is the real winner.
      Oh I don't know.

I'll miss most of these games as I'm in Thailand on my hols. I wasn't bothered about the tournament when I booked it, but as it gets closer, I am a miffed that I'll be missing it. There's always some controversy or some UEFA **** up to laugh at/discuss and I'll probably be oblivious to it. The time difference will mean the games are shown early in the morning over there, probably 1am/3am........no way am I staying up for them.

                      I reckon:

                      A - Portugal, Switzerland
                      B - Germany, Croatia
                      C - Italy, France
                      D - Spain, Russia

u don't reckon the czechs will go through in group A? they always seem to do good in these tournaments(final in '96, semis in '04) and are never given credit for that. they also have some very experienced players in ujfaluši, koller, rosicky(if fit), jankulovsky, baroš and rozehnal. i think that either the swiss of the portugesse will not go through. so:

                      A - Czech Republic, Portugal
                      B - Germany, Poland(exellent coach in benhakker)
                      C - Italy, Holland
D - Spain, Greece(great coach& team spirit, very hard to break down, finished comfortably first in their qual. group)

I think the French will do well if they play their young talent- Nasri, Arfa, Benzema

                        .............Coupet
                        Gallas...Thuram..Mexes...Evra
                        Ribery....Flamini.....Nasri...Arfa
                        ............Benzema...Henry

They have Malouda, Cisse,Anelka, Toulanla,Viera.............Certainly good enough

However i have a feeling that Spain will come good this year

                        Torres

spain lack quality in defence (and so do portugal, apart from carvalho), and that i think is their main problem, alltough they pose such an attacking threat it may not matter but at a certain point u need to defend, and defent with quality, puyol, marcena or whoever else they put in there just don't cut it for me!

That midfield will be ripped apart.

I agree their defence is a little weak but i put that down to their attacking style of play. They do have the best goalkeeper in the world. Actually hang on their defence isn't that bad.................

that defence will struggle with set pieces, which was evident in the friendly against italy a few months ago, where luca toni was ripping them apart with his areal abillity. they will get out of the group stages with ease, but i don't think they will go all the way. would like them to, but don't think it will happen
