The Dutch are class, although look a little shaky at the back.
Doesn't look as though our Dirk is going to get a look in as Robben and Van Persie are now back.
Javier Mascherano: 'I want to be settled and kill myself on the pitch so the team wins lots of games'

Van Basten must take great credit here. Made the changes and it worked. The two subs (Robben and Van Persie) both stretched France and effectively changed the game. Holland still don't look assured at the back but their attack is very fluid and very strong. Sneijder has been massively influential for them in the creative department along with van der Vaart. Good to see Kuijt score. I think the European game suits him (the pace and so on) but if he adds goals next season, I think I would be very happy

They should play him against the spiks when they meet in the semis for some added defensive capability

The game between Italy and France will be extra special. I hope anyway. Fingers crossed.

agree, one big team is going to home home, possibly both big teams?
                We come not to play.

Just been looking at the Dutch goals again, a joy.

Why weren't we in for wesley sneijder last year?

I predicted Romania to get through the group before the first game.

Dont think theyll do it mind. What happens if France and Italy draw?

Loved the tournament so far - some absolutely tremendous games. Two crackers yesterday - I was making involuntary noises on my sofa watching the Dutch last night. Outstanding stuff.

Deffo. The Dutch can now "strategically" lose to Romania, still win the group and the Romanians qualify regardless of what happens between France and Italy. Lets face it, once you've beaten a good side in a competition like this the last thing you want is to meet them again later on! Lump on the Romanians to beat the Cheesemen.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

If France and Italy draw and Romania lose to the dutch, it goes purely to goal difference, so basically Romania will be through if they can limit themselves to a 2 goal loss to holland(if Italy and France draw)

Holland will just rotate their players surely?
Romania will have a decent chance of winning that game.

If I were the Dutch, I'd prefer losing to Romania and avoid the possibility of meeting both Italy or France in the semi-finals.
