What a good game that was, that's been the game of the tournament IMO. The game was played a good tempo, the football was good with the ball been played across the ground. There were hardly any long balls over the top.

Also, the ref deserves some plaudits for keeping the flow of the game going and for not taking any **** off anyone.

Really good game. Thoroughly enjoyed that.

I must have been in a dark place in my life at the time, but something possessed me to watch Zenit vs Bayer Leverkusen in a UEFA Cup game earlier in the season and Arshavin was amazing, followed him ever since. What a player.

Russia fully deserved to win the game, though I'm disappointed the Dutch didn't go through because they're the only team capable of stopping Italy.

Russia won because of their fitness. At extra time, every player in orange was ****ed and they couldn't string a pass together. They were there for the taking and fair play to Hiddink who took advantage, what a manager.

Arshavin is a great player. Probably the best performance from a single player in this tournament. Yes, better than Villa's hattrick.

Russia are outstanding - my pre-tourney predictions had them knocking out Holland in the quarters.

For me though this result has opened it right up for Spain. Beat Italy tomorrow night and the trophy is theirs for the taking IMO.

I think Russian's will get revenge if they play Spain,

However I think the Italians will beat Spain tommorow and then go on to beat Russia to face Germany in the final now.

Russia deserved thoroughly today. Its a shame because a potential semi vs Italy or Spain sounds much better with Holland but **** it, Russia would give just as a hard game to either of those two teams.

If we don't get Arshavin, we should get Pavlyuchenko. He isn't the best of finishers but I can see him playing off Torres. Great vision, great touch.
