Real madrid getting a taste of their own medicine

    Absolutely class ...

They've screwed us a couple of times with macca and owen, then owen again and morientes. Now they've messed with the whiskey nosed one and this is what he had to say...

Sir Alex Ferguson makes Franco jibe at Real Madrid

Sir Alex Ferguson last night taunted Real Madrid about their Franco past as he savaged them for trying to poach Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ferguson is furious with the Spaniards and club president Ramon Calderon over the way they have attempted to unsettle the winger.

And he hit back by dredging up Real's links with Spain's former fascist dictator, who made sure his favourite team benefited at the expense of their rivals.

"You get used to this, Madrid's behaviour on these things," said the angry Manchester United boss. "I read about Calderon making the great statement that slavery was abolished many, many years ago.

"Well, did they tell Franco that? Jesus Christ! Eh, give me a break!

"It doesn't matter which player it is, the ones you want to keep, you have to work hard to keep. In this modern day, that's a fact."

Ferguson reminding Real of a past they would rather forget is likely to stir up a hornets' nest in Spain, but he clearly feels it is time the gloves came off in the fight for Ronaldo.

He is sick of Real's antics and contrasted their arrogant and dishonourable behaviour with that of their bitter rivals Barcelona and Europe's other top clubs.

"Great clubs, clubs with great morals like Barcelona, have far better morals than Real Madrid will ever have," he added.

**** me - I hate real madrid because of their arrogant attitude to all other clubs. They ****ed us three times and we just sat back and let them get on with it. At last someone took a stand against them - cant ever see Rick Parry coming out and saying that.

he would tell then no - but at least barca would have made a bid instead of fannying around destablilising the player.

This is typical madrid, they dont want to pay for anybody and want all the best players. At least their old president Perez didnt mind getting his chequebook out but this ****** calderon is from the same mould as all of the previous ones.

He came out and said that they wanted schuster to be their new manager while he was contracted to getafe and declared 'real madrid will never pay any compensation for anybody'.

I can hear the laughter coming from the catalans and barca because this will be all over the catalan press asap.

Gotta give it to fergie - he reminds me of Price Phillip - just goes out and says stuff and leaves it to the PR guys to clean up the mess.

                  ****ing arsehole.

Not all Madrid fans supported Franco. Fergie has no idea what he is talking about, and he should keep his ****ing mouth shut about such things.

He can have a go about them poaching Ronaldo (although im sure Utd have done similar things to other clubs), but to bring up remarks about Franco's use of Madrid as a propaganda machine...well its not on in book.

                  the man has no respect.

I've got to agree with Harvey on this one.

What ****ing relevance does Franco have to Real Madrid today and slavery? Utterly bizzare comment by Ferguson.

it has no relevance whatsoever, its a cheap shot. Utterly distasteful, and if i met Fergie i'd punch square in his purple nose(not that i wouldn't have already)

What a ****ing numpty Ferguson is. He don't half talk ****. Is it ok what he did when he kept talking about wanting Hargreaves even though he was still contracted to Bayern? What's the difference?

                          There isn't one.

I hate the purple nosed cock. Don't give a **** what he's achieved with the Scum and you'll never catch me giving him credit. Dumb ****

Like the Scum don't do the same, grow up Ferguscum you Hypocrite, every time i hear Real Madrid linked with The Portugee Dive, i laugh, knowing the Scott will be unimpreessed.

FFs he's met players in hotels without the clubs knowledge, & he has the nerve to publically criticise another club. Tosser.

It's not the tapping up i find annyoing. It goes on all the time. We do it, Madrid does it, Man U do it. Everyone of the big European clubs is at it.

What i do find puzzling is his quote r.e. slavery, Franco and how it applys to todays footballers who are earning a veritable shed load of money. Bizzare comment..
